would 755s be considered biflex speakers?
someone gave me a pair and i just love them. (before anyone chokes they're only Es) i put them in a pair of boxes i got from the thrift store. and i use them on the back porch. as far as quality sound they put my living room set to shame. i never thought it sounded that bad, but now i can hear finger slides on guitars, people singing in spots i never knew existed,
so back to what i was asking,, the 755s do have ring ridges in the cone.
Biflex is a trademark. They were designed by Altec. The 755 was a Western Electric design, and was made for years before the Biflex. Altec never called the 755 a biflex.

Let's call it the precursor to the Biflex. It certainly incorporates the principle. It's not just a ridge in the cone.

There are lots of speakers with ridges in cones. The best I'll go is there is some similarity. No would not consider the 755 a Biflex.
